Biography
Time goes by so fast. When I was in elementary school it seemed like it would be forever until I would reach the twelfth grade. Well now here at University of Akron I am pursuing my PhD in chemical Engineering after graduating from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology in October 2009. Along the way I have experienced, saw and learned from so many things. It’s given me a lot of time to think of what I want to do in the near future, and it all started when I was a kid.
I was born on September 8th, 1986 in Jamalpur, a district in Dhaka division in Bangladesh. I was raised there by my parents. I came from a family of 4 people. First two are my dad and mom, Majibar Rahman and Anjuman Ara Begum. The other one is my younger brother Koushik. My Dad was a renowned school teacher and my mother is a housewife. My father passed me away when I was 10.
A person needs to achieve certain goals in life before they can call themselves successful, and well I want to become successful. I have set certain goals I would like to achieve in my lifetime. Some of these goals are professional while others are personal. My professional goals in life are to get a good education, find a good job that makes me happy, and find a job that makes enough money for me to support my family, and my future family. I graduated from high school in 2002 with highest GPA in Jamalpur District as well as Dhaka board. After that I got admitted in the best college of the country, Notre Dame College. I passed Higher Secondary School Certificate exam from Notre Dame College with highest GPA as well. With all I’ve put into school I still was not sure what I wanted to be and I wish I did. There were some certain careers I was interested, but they all have pro’s and con’s to them. I didn’t want a low paying job or a boring one either. So I guess that eliminated a lot of my choices. I have thought about something in the engineering field Then I got admitted in Bangladesh university of Engineering and Technology in Chemical Engineering from where I graduated in 2009.
